The parameter is being created but the default value does not pass through to my equipment and i need to manually enter it.

The parameter is being created but the default value does not pass through to my equipment and i need to manually enter it.

If you create an equipment instance outside of Equipment Editor, make sure that the name of "Type" in Equipment Model must be identical defined in Equipment Type because the type name is case sensitive. Take a look at the editor log file, 
where you can see the errors for those missing parameters when the model is loaded into Equipment Editor.
