Looking at what seems to be a reasonable source for the AVEVA Product Support Lifecycle (Unfortunately I couldn't find this document in the AVEVA support portal), recent PlantSCADA versions seem to only be released with a standard servicing period of 3 years.
Meaning after this period AVEVA will not officially provide the following for that release.
- Minor and Major version releases
- Patches to address non-critical issues
- Ability to request Hot Fixes
- Testing of Microsoft Security Updates
Can we expect the next 2026 release to only be provided Standard Product Servicing or will AVEVA provide long term servicing for it?
Can we draw any conclusions by looking at the other products AVEVA provide LTS for System Plantform/Intouch HMI/Historian/Communications Drivers, such as, is development priority being given to System Platform instead of PlantSCADA, or is there a long term plan to migrate systems to System Platform?
