  • Hi  ,

I'm not certain of the maximum number of IEC 61850 IED's that is possible to connect, I will reach out to the Power team within Schneider to see if they know.

With regards to Modbus TCP/IP, it can be many thousands. There are some limits to be aware of. Namely that a single IOServer can only host 512 TCPIP Ports. After you hit this limit, you will need to instance another IOServer to host more devices.

The help states that the theoretical limit "Number of I/O Devices connected to Plant SCADA" is 16,383.

I'll try get back to you once I get a response.

    Kind regards

    Olivier
