Repair of corrupted Galaxy

Hi Peter, 

I believe that the Galaxy Scrubber did not 'repair' a corrupt galaxy, but more did some cleanup of unnecessary entries in the galaxy database.

"The Wonderware Galaxy Database Scrubber utility should only be run on Galaxies that have been completely un-deployed and backed up. This scrubber utility will delete all Unused Packages in the database and clean the Transaction Log files."

This should be similar as creating a new galaxy and restore the objects you want to use.

There are some tips and things you could do in the following 'clean up guide'

But your issue sounds like it will not be effected by any "clean-up jobs", and I don't have any other tip than importing objects in parts, to identify any corrupt content, (i.e.. start with all Graphic objects), continue with a part of the templates, finalize with instances).

But it will require some time and follow-up in Log Viewer after each step. Perhaps not the most ideal approach,

Perhaps Tech support has some tools that can be used to identify known corruptions of a galaxy, If no one gives a better answer i would reach out to them.

Tip for viewing and selecting many objects in structure such as deployment view or derivation view!

Did you know that the * key on the keyboard, expands the full tree view structure. (it has to be on your num-pad).

Sadly you're right, we are not really talking about cleaning up, we talk about fixing corruptions. Some of the corruptions are fixed by exporting / importing all objects but not all.

Eventually I decided to raise a few tickets regarding the remaining concerns on the corrupted Galaxy.
