How can I create my own web widgets for InTouch OMI Web?

What is necessary for this and is there a simple example with step-by-step instructions or further information?

  • Hi Richard, many thanks for the further information. Reading through it for the first time, I can already see that it will help us to take the first steps with this approach. I think that the use of widgets will be a crucial building block to meet the needs of customers towards full web-based client applications, although of course this is just the beginning of the journey.

A question for anyone reading this thread who is also interested in this topic. Do you have any further information or examples, requirements or experiences that we can share? I would be grateful for any input!

  • Hi Dirk, I have done a web widget project on OMI , OMI Web works for industrial graphics , so web widgets use Javascript on its back end, industrial graphics use .NET Framework on its backend, funny enough web widgets are web friendly but that's within a desktop client ( RDS or Standalone ) , I have used AVEVAs web widgets on OMI which works so i'm assuming this will work as well. Once i get some time i'll share some of my notes
