LONG TRENDS

Hi!
I have an instalation with AVEVA Edge 2023 and I have an issue with trends: I can see the logged data in a trend with a span up to about 8 hours, but if I increase the span, say to 10 hours, some gaps appear in the trend. I´m sure the data is logged because I can see the trend properly if I reduce the span to see the period in the gap.
Am I missing a patch/service pack? Have anyone had some similar issues?

  • Laura,

What do the gaps look like? Whitespace? is there a line connecting? a screen shot would help.

Also how many data point are there in the 10 hour span? there is a setting in the trend object for "decimation" that may change how you see your data.

are you running an 8 hour shift?

  • Hi Scott. Thanks for your replay.
In the first figure, you can see the span for the trend is 12 hours and there is a gap between (aprox)19:06 and 21:46, but in the second figure, with a 6 hour span, it shows valid data from 17:46 thru 22;26.

If I load again a 12 hour trend, it sometimes shows gaps in other places in the same date.

I have an older installation with Indusoft 8.1 for the same user, and he can see trends in 24 hour span without any problem, so he wants to do the same in this new application (AVEVA Edge Version 2023)
