Mobile Operations and QR Code Scanner Widget

Hi,

I'm trying to run a widget that reads a QR code.

We basically have two ways to do this, one way is via Google Chrome which has access granted to the camera and is able to scan it on InTouch Web Client using a tablet, for instance. The other way that is causing this issue is with the Mobile Operations app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aveva.mobileoperations&hl=es_AR&gl=US&pli=1. There's a pop up showing an error that the access is not granted to the app, although it says that the permission is allowed.

Has this ever happenned to you guys? I'd be very grateful if you helped us out.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

  • Hi.

I believe the Mobile Operations App is not as well documented as we would have liked to. The good news there is that we've started planning for an improvement. Until then, it may be a better option to use the web browser.

For now, I don't know for sure if/how the QR widget will work in the Mobile Operations App. I'll ask a colleague but unless someone who knows more about this can add their input, I suspect the best option is to seek Technical Support for this matter.
