some variables tags were not found.Tell me please how to solve the problem?

Hello!
I ask for help in solving the following problem. I’ll only say in advance how I study citect. More precisely, on the existing facility I study and try to make changes to the project.
In the PLC, modicon 580 created a variable with underwriting in the% MW register and trying to bring it into scada.
In scada created Tag, previously created equipment, type.Tag compiled, Linked Yes.
When displaying the variable in the graphical editor, I select the variable and the inscription appears some variables tags were not found.

Further I carry out RUN of the project. My variable is red with a value of 0, which is different from reality.

Tell me please how to solve the problem?

  • Hi Yuri,
There was a known issue when 'Local Variables' were added, the Graphics Builder cache was not updated correctly, which resulted in this warning message you reported. This issue is fixed in the latest update. Please download the latest update from the Product Downloads page for Citect SCADA. It is also recommended that you pack your project and pack libraries.
With regards to the value displaying '0' all the time. It seems to me you are using an internal 'Local Variable' instead of a normal variable tag which is capable of communicating with external devices. This would result in the behaviour you are seeing, since internal tags always default to value '0' until you modify them via cicode or the UI.
I'd highly recommend you attend a Citect SCADA training course or take some e-Learning modules online to get up to speed with the UI and common work practices within the product.
Wishing you the best of luck.
    Kind regards
    Olivier
