DWG files - how to speed up and simplify the graphical page development process

Hello Citect project developers,
I would like to ask you about your vision - How do you use OR would like to use AutoCAD DWG (also SVG) files in Citect Page development process?
When we create the graphic part of the project we need to draw and animate  objects, views, etc.
Many build-projects have already the draw/schemes in dwg format (for example building floors ) which we can use during page design process.

But a strange situation persists with the import of these types of files in the citect native environment- more precisely we can use graphical file only as a background. My opinion this is certainly not a solution.

Are you interested in such an opportunity - import from the DWG/SVG an editable image in the native objects of the Citect ?

Kind regards,

Ruslan

  • Hi Ruslan,

In the past I have tried importing DWG/SVG/DXF as well, but was also very dissappointed about the results: I could not control scaling and colors and I expected to have the results as individual objects instead of a bitmap, just like you experienced.

In my opinion this would be a very interesting feature to have.
