Values not displaying in Client

We're attempting to set up a new client computer at a site using Vijeo Citect 7.50. The server is displaying values in the HMI, and when we set up the new machine as a server, it will also display values.

However, when we set it up as a client and initially go to runtime, the values display, then go to #BAD/#COM, then display, then back to #BAD/#COM. We have the firewalls disabled, the computer role is set up properly in the citect.ini file. We are pointed to the correct project paths within the .ini file. Under Servers -> Network Addresses we set the address to the IP of the Server/development machine. We can successfully ping the PLCs and the server.

Any ideas about what else might be causing the issue for us?

Thanks,

Justin

  • Run the Computer Setup Wizard (Citect Explorer | Tools menu) on the client. On the Server Authentication page, un-select 'Configure Server Password'. Finish the wizard and try running the client again.

Normally, you don't need to use the password on clients, but if you do enable it then you must set the password correctly. It just needs to be the same as the password you entered on the same wizard on the servers.
