No alarms list

Hello, I had a working project in Citect2018. Now,when running the project, two hardware alarms appear: "Database not connected" and "Alarms list request timeout".

Alarms are not shown on the alarm list.

Does anybody know what to check in order to solve this problem?

    There are a number of possible causes to this issue. See TN 8870 for details on how to troubleshoot this further.
    You can also look in the Kernel window on the Client process (if Kernel is enabled) and then type "Page Table Tran" to see if the Client can connect to the Alarm Server.
    If you still have trouble, I'd recommend reaching out to Citect Support.
  • Thanks for support. Turned out to be a firewall that blocked the connection.
  • Have you been able to solve the problem? It seems that the problem exists in version Plant SCADA 8.4 also.

    On one of my servers, the alarms are not displayed and in hardware i have the same alarms.

    Reinstalling Citect does not help.

    As per Bert's last post, he solved the issue by unblocking the application in Firewall configuration.

    Please see recent post by Antonio "Alarm server won't start after Microsoft Defender Antivirus". There is also a Scheider Electric tech note relating to Geo SCADA. The latest Windows Defender definition KB2267602, v1.403.540.0, appears to have resolved this false positive.

    If you are still experiencing technical issues getting your Alarm Server to startup and connect correctly, I recommend reaching out to AVEVA Support.
