Citect communication with Siemens 3152 CPU using PSDirect

It appears that the backend driver is not able to connect to the PLC.

It is probably worth checking with Jon Pio for any support and help troubleshooting:

Also note that latest backend required updated front end driver.

Is it posible for you to Confirm, PSdirect's latest Front end driver verion is V2.7.6 for citect?

The latest front end driver of PSDIRECT that ships with Plant SCADA 2020 R2 (v8.30) is 2.07.00.008.

Jon Pio for some reason, removes the 3rd number from the versioning, which is typically "0". So just be aware of this.

Also note special consideration for compatibility:

**Note on the versions:
The previous versions – PSDIRECT 2.7.6 & Backend 7.10.57.004 are a compatible pair only to each other Versions PSDIRECT 2.7.8 & Backend 7.10.58.002 are compatible with older versions(not recommended) before above and future versions will not have compatibility issues

I'd recommend downloading and installing the latest backend (7.10.58.002) and front end (V2.7.0.8)

The first step is definitely to get the Backend communicating with your PLC successfully. Then move onto the Front end (and within Citect runtime).

What is your TSAP setting for this PLC in the back-end driver? It should specify the rack and slot number of the CPU, not the CP343-1 card.

TSAP is R=0, S=2..as mentioned in manual, we follow slot no of CPU and not the CP.

Great. I pointed it out because you specifically mentioned the slot number of your CP-card.

On the PLC side, have you checked that there are enough communication resources?

I found a reference of an example application in STEP 7 and in the Communication tab of the CPU properties you can configure the number of communication channels that are available to Citect:

Finally i got the resolution, though i have used administrator login while installing the back-end driver, i have to change the Comptability properties of SIXDidw.exe at path C:\Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\Citect SCADA 2018 R2\Bin and check the option Run this program as administrator. Rest all settings are according to configuration manual....
