Trend capture in Aveva Historian 2020

I have Citect 2018 and aveva historian 2020 with connector running on a separate client computer. My problem is that Historian seems to be capturing some trends and not capturing other trends. have restarted and re-linked connector, historian and citect multiple times, and nothing has fixed the issue. All of the trends show up in historian analog tags, but some show NULL value in historian while they are working fine in Citect. Trends that work are identical in configuration to trends that don't.

Any Ideas?

  • The best approach is to reach out to Technical Support. Before that, you could do

    • Ensure that the Historian property of trend tags should be set True.
    • Check the connector logs that are by default located at C:\ProgramData\Wonderware\Citect SCADA Connector\Log
    • Have a look at logs if there is any error in the trend related events. As highlighted in the screen capture below, confirm if the trend tags with missing samples are listed in the logs (within the data aquisition window - 10 mins by default)
