Deployment Client not appearing in Citect Studio deployment list - Citect 2018 R2

Hi all,

I recently upgraded a site from CItect 2016 >> Citect 2018 R2.

After the upgrade I deleted one of the Client PC's from the deployment list.
I think my train of thought was that when i reconnected the new installation to the deployment server, it would re-populate the list.

Both are connected to the system management server. Client has connected to the deployment server (green ticks in both configurators). 

Is there a way to get the Client to appear back in the list of deployable computers ?

It seems that you can open the database and modify it there:

C:\ProgramData\AVEVA\Citect SCADA 2018 R2\Deployment\Server\Database\deploymentstore.sqlite

Has anyone successfully pulled this off? Or know of a less hacky way to get the Deployment client to appear back in Citect studio ?

  • Please try the following 

    • Stop the deployment client on the client PC
    • Delete file Deployment.Node.Windows.Service.exe.config from .\Config folder
    • Reconfigure the deployment client in Configurator
    • This PC name should appear in Citect Studio again after the deployment client service is running.

    If this client still doesn't appear in Citect Studio, you then have to 

    • On SMS tab in Configurator, select the 3rd option - No System Management Server, and then click on Configure
    • Select the 1st option to connect your SMS and click on Configure
    • Repeat the steps in Part I.

    Hope this would work.
