Is there a driver for Rockwell Micro850 PLC?

Dear R&D,

We have a partner SI looking to connect to some RO Skids with Rockwell Micro850 PLC's and PanelView 800.

Is there a driver that can be used with Plant SCADA to communicate to the Micro850?

I read in another article from Indusoft they used Modbus TCP -MOTCP. Not sure if this would work here as ModNet or other?

Can you please advise.

Thanks.

  • Hi  ,

It looks like there are quite a few options to communicate with this device:

    - CIP Serial

    - DF1

    - Modbus RTU/ASCII

    - EtherNetI/P

    - Modbus TCP

There are a number of drivers available in Plant SCADA, namely:

    - ABDF1FD (DF1)

    - MODBUS (Modbus RT/ASCII)

    - ABMLXEIP (EtherNet/IP)

    - MODNET (Modbus TCP)

I think Modbus TCP / MODNET would be the easiest to get going.

They could also consider the ABMLXEIP driver, but this was tested against the following hardware, so might need some care when configuring:

    MicroLogix 1000, 1100, 1200, and 1500 devices.

    Hope this information helps.

    Kind regards

    Olivier
