Plant SCADA run as a service issue with OFService

Hi All,

I am having an issue with Plant SCADA when I configure it to run as a service [Configurator --> computer setup --> Run as a service], it is not connecting to PLC through OFS and it shows bad communication with PLCs, but when I run plant SCADA runtime without using the run as a service option, everything is working good and the communication with PLCs through OFS is good, I have tried to use the OFService to run OFS as a service and this was not helpful and I am still facing the same issue if I run plant SCADA as a service, Thank you all in advance and will appreciate your help.

    It is not recommended to use a different user account for running the Citect Runtime Manager service for the security reason. So, the solution is to add VSA (Virtual Service Account) - "Citect Runtime Manager" to the default Access Permission and the default Launch and Activation Permission in COM Security as shown below. It is noted that adding "Everyone" to COM Security is not a good practice.

    As for DCOM Config, leave OFservice settings as default (default service account) and use the current Windows logon user or other account in This User option in the Identity tab for Schneider-Aut OPC Factory Server.
