error on installation Plant SCADA 2020R2 - the installation of VC2019redist_x64 has failed

i have started on an upgrade from Citect scada to Plant Scada 2020R2.

after uninstalling Citect 2018 and rebooting machine,  i get the following error on install of Plant Scada 2020R2 very early on.

"the installation of VC2019redist_x64 has failed"

i have searched the knowledgebase but did not find anything, i have raised a case but local support is slow due to a heavy work load, i want to progress as this is my primary server and would like to move on it today.

    Glad you got it working now!

    I was also confused as the highlighted lines have nothing to do with the VC redist. packages.
    I also forgot that Plant SCADA requires both x86 and x64 editions. Good to see you picked up on that from Eric's reply.

    Perhaps a notice for any future reference: I would match x86 and x64 versions (build numbers) for both VC2019 packages. I wouldn't be surprised if some unpredictable behavior could occur if these are not identical.

    i don't know Patrick, this was explained to me by local support, the highlighted sections shown previously did not exist on my server, local support advised that the redistributables not installing was causing this not to populate after install. i have upgraded from Citect Scada 2018 to Plant Scada 2020R2 and the runtime manager would not launch at all. i don't know about this in detail, I'm an Electrician by trade.
