Citect Studio stopped working

Did you unistall the version 7.2 before installing version 8.1?

7.2 was not installed on this laptop, it's on an older windows 7 laptop. It was a clean new install of 8.1 and was working fine for several days. Runtime appears to work with example project. Studio just won't run... Re-installing is an option but would require dealing with company IS process that could take a long time. Thanks

Just Fyi, You don't need to uninstall earlier versions before installing newer versions. The newer version install files will however overwrite any existing files, making using any older versions impossible without reinstalling them again. That is, unless you use the Environment Manager to capture each version's install files after you install each version.

If you delete the page/template that you were editing from the user folder, does studio run again?

When you say "converted", was the graphics files upgraded? Or just the project itself?

Citect Studio reads up the projects listed in Master.dbf to determine what to display and process. You could either move the offending project folder somewhere else (to make the master.dbf entry for that project invalid) and then startup Studio. Studio will complain about a missing project, but you can always add it back OR restore the old project(s) again and attempt the upgrade process again.
